Our Valentines Weekend in Coolidge, AZ

Well, here are some pictures of our Valentines weekend just the two of us. My Mom was nice enough to watch Wyatt. We missed him a lot, but it was really nice to get away. On our way down it was about 8:00pm and as we were driving down the freeway we were coming up to an exit to the Gila River Casino. We were all the way in the left lane, when we spontaneously decided that we should take the exit and try our luck at the casino! It was very last second as Phil swerved across 3 lanes with a trailer on the back and we exited. Now, we're not gamblers at all, this was just something spontaneous to do to make us feel alive! haha! Anyway, it was a lot of fun.

We went in there with $10 and our drivers license and hopes that we were gonna win it big!
Danget!

Yeah, I don't know what this face is all about?

Yeah! $0.75! You'd think we'd stop while were were ahead...

Noo way! We went all out and won $5!!!

Here's Phil at our camping spot "acting" all tough as we were getting ready to leave for a quad ride in the desert.

See, now I don't have to "act tough" I am tough & sexy I think. jk!

Here's the trailer at our little camping spot that Phil's parents were so kind to let us borrow.

We're so hardcore!

Fun in the snow

Sammy & Jared came up this past weekend, which was a lot of fun. We made a snowman in front my our house which was huge! People kept stopping by saying how it was the best snowman they have ever seen. Anyway, here's some fun pictures I thought you guys might enjoy.

What a bunch of Fruit Cakes!
There she is!

All the master snowman builders
Sammy's taking her fury out on Dillin and he is "Scurred for his Lirf!"

More Good News...

Well, I have more good news to share with you guys. Besides us not having any brain tumors or skin cancer, which is definitely something to be happy about, I am now officially the new Assistant Coach for the Sinagua High School Tennis Team!!! I just finished all the paperwork and fingerprinting yesterday and I start on Monday. We have practices Mon, Wed, & Friday at 6 in the morning! I have no idea how I'm going to get myself out of bed, but I'm definitely going to try. Anyway, Tuesdays and Thursdays we're going to practice after school and it's going to be conditioning the whole time and the head coach said that that's going to be my baby. oh boy! So basically I'm going to be running practices on Tues & Thurs by myself!! AAAAHHH!! I'm a little nervous & anxious, but I think it's going to be a lot of fun. Well, I'll keep you posted on how it goes, wish me luck!

ALL ABOUT MY SWEETHEART

What is his name? Philip Benjamin Graham a.k.a. "Philobuster", "Philip the Knight" or "Boo Boo"

How long have you been married? 2 years in May

How long did you date? Well if you count before we were engaged it was about 21/2 months, but if you count being engaged as dating then it was 5 months (haha! I just said that to make it seem longer because we didn't date very long)

How old is he? 24

Who eats more? It really depends, most the time it's him, but there are some times that I give him a run for his money!

Who said "I love you" first? He did of course. He fell head over heals! (so did I though)

Who is taller? He is by a foot, easily

Who sings better? He would say that I do, but he's definitely catching up with me and will probably pass me up one of these days!

Who is smarter? I would say him and he would say....him probably. jk! I'd say we're pretty equal.

Whose temper is worse? MINE! all the way. I can be quite the firecracker! Although when he gets mad, everybody better duck for cover! But it's very rare when it happens.

Who does the laundry? I do unless it's his camos then he has to do it himself because I just don't do it right ;)

Who does the dishes? I do, but he's helped out a few times

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you're laying in bed, he does, by the door because I'm a chicken!

Who pays the bills? I do, we both hate it, but someone has to do it

Who mows the lawn? Definitely Phil

Who cooks dinner? That would be me, because I'm such a great cook!.....

Who drives when you are together? He does, I like it better that way too because I'm getting to the point where driving feels like a chore. sad huh?

Who is more stubborn? hahaha!!! We are both equally stubborn I think, which sometimes isn't a great combination!

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Phil is soo good about that, he has really been such a good example to me, I'm working on it and I feel that I'm improving, but you'll have to ask him

Whose parents do you see the most? Mine, because they're only 10-15 minutes away. We're trying to see his family more, we're getting better at it I think

Who proposed? Phil did in the car down in the valley in front of my good friend Mary Miller's house the day before she left on her mission. He asked me twice, once without the ring and once with it. After he asked me that night, we drove all around Mesa trying to find a Walmart to get one of those humondo fake rings, but couldn't find one anywhere!?! It was pretty late, so I don't think we were trying as hard as we could have.

Who has more friends? Well, before we got married, I would've said I did, but now, I think we're pretty even.

Who has more siblings? I do, I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters, he has 1 sister and 2 brothers

Who wears the pants in the family? Do you even have to ask?? jk! Phil does, because I let him! ;)

No Brain Tumors or Skin Cancer!!! Yeah!!

Well, we got the results back and the cat scan came out completely normal, which is what we thought the whole time. However the doctor said there's a good chance, because his head is so large, that he'll be a baby genius and should be tying his own shoes and speaking full sentences by the time he's 9 months!!! haha jk! But thank you everyone very much for putting him in your prayers! Anyway, you're probably wondering what the skin cancer title is all about. The day after Wyatt's cat scan, I went to the dermotologist to get a wierd looking freckle on my face checked out. We're not hypochrondriacs by the way, I promise. Anyway, after I got pregnant with Wyatt, this spot on my face started showing up and it got really dark, then it started flaking and peeling, and now it's getting lighter. My Dad, my Grandma Peggy, My Aunt Jacque, they have all had skin cancer burned off so I just wanted to get mine checked out. Anyway, turns out, it was just because of the hormones when I got pregnant that made it get really dark and now that I'm not pregnant, the hormones are getting back to normal so the spot is fading. When the doctor was telling me this I felt so stupid because as soon as he started explaining it to me, I remember my gynocologist telling me about that, so I felt pretty dumb, but oh well, what can you do right? Well, that's it, we're all happy and healthy and that's all that matters.

Wyatt's Doctor Appointment

Well, we took Wyatt to the doctor on Tuesday and he weighs 18 lbs 4 oz now! Big kid! My arms can attest to this, I've got some big guns to take to the gun show now! haha! He's 26 in. long and his head circumference is 46.4 cm! His weight is in between the 50-75th percentile, his height is in between the 25-50th percentile, but his head is in the 97th percentile! Yes...our son is a genius. :) The doctor seemed a little concerned about this and suggested getting Wyatt a CT Scan on his head just to make sure there's nothing wrong. The reason he suggested this is because his head grew so fast since his last appointment, but he didn't seem too concerned because his weight shot up too, which he says is normal, but just because it's in such a high percentile he wants us to get it looked at. Phil and I are a little nervous about it, but feel that everything's fine. He still acts completely normal and is still his happy go lucky self. So not to worry any of you, we're sure it's fine, but just to keep you all posted on what's going on with our little guy so you're all in "the know" and if you guys can say a little prayer for him that would be great, what harm could it do right? Thanks.

Prophet Hinckley...An Amazing Man

I just wanted to say how much I love Prophet Hinckley as I'm sure all of you do, and what an inspiration he has been to me in my life as well as everybody else around the world! He was such an amazing man and will be missed greatly, but it comforts me so much to know that he is finally home and has been re-united with his wife! My Grandma Peggy loved him and has always wanted to meet him, and I'm sure she has now! :)

Personlity Test

So my Sister-in-law Brette convinced Phil and I to do this personality quiz for kicks and giggles. Here's Phil's...

Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

Phil says, and I quote, "I'm the man! I am BLACK!"

And mine is...

Your color is red, the color of racy sportscars, blushing cheeks, and luscious roses. Red symbolizes passion, romance, and love. So, since you're ruled by red, you probably trust your feelings more than your brain and tend to act spontaneously. If you see something you want, you go for it without thinking twice — impulsive is your middle name. You don't wait around for people to make decisions, either; you dive right in. Quite the romantic, you pay close attention to your emotions. In fact, if your heart isn't in what you're doing, you won't be satisfied. Of course, even when you do pour all your energy into the projects you tackle, your impetuous nature means your passions can shift as frequently as the wind. That's why some reds have trouble with commitment. Our advice? Next time you're feeling fickle, think before you act, if possible. You might be surprised at the results. Overall, though, it's great to be red. No one lives life more completely than you do.

Well, I think this was pretty accurate for the most part. Although, I don't consider myself fickle or too impulsive?? Oh boy... Well, here's the link to try it yourself if you're curious. Enjoy!

Wyatt and My Parents New Puppy

Well my parents got a new puppy the other day. It's a pure-bread (sp?) Blue Healer and is the cutest little thing in the world! Well aside from Wyatt that is. jk! Anyway, this puppy just loved Wyatt and Wyatt just loved her, it was so fun watching them both interact with eachother. They haven't come up with a name for her just yet so if you guys have any suggestions, let us know!

Alright, Staring Contest are you ready? 1...2...3... GO!!! "I'm gonna win. You're feeling weak... you're getting sleepy... very, very sleepy...."
