Our Thanksgiving Weekend...

This Thanksgiving was a lot of fun! We had my Uncle Steve and Aunt Leslie and all their kids and Grandkids over. There were a lot of people, but it made it a lot of fun! We ate lots of food, gained a lot of weight, played a lot of games, saw a movie, shot guns, & Phil's parents came up for a grandkid visit on saturday, So that was a lot of fun to see them. Anyway, overall it was a great Thanksgiving :)

He's walking!!!

So yes, the rumors are true. Wyatt is finally walking!!! Can I get a "Hallelujah!!?!" I know a lot of you Mothers out there are thinking, "She has no idea what kind of trouble she's in for." Which is probably true, but you have no idea how long we have been wanting him to walk, especially me and my back & shoulders! I just don't know how much longer I can carry him around all the time. Yes, I'm a sissy...Anyway, he started last week and walked like a pro, like he already knew how to do it. which he probably did. Then for some wierd reason the next day in a half he acted like he forgot how to and acted afraid of doing it. We think it's just the stubborn ox coming out in him. He'll walk when he feels like walking!! haha! I wonder where he gets that from? Poor kid and all our future kids, having both sides as stubborn as ever, we're going to have a rough time! Oh well. I would post a video of it right now, but for some reason the videos on my phone won't save onto my computer, so I'll have to take a video with our camera and post it later on. Anyway, just thought I would spread the good and "semi-bad" news. haha! :)

A Huntin' Family

Well, this was our Halloween this year. Wednesday night we went to Safeway and picked out some pumpkins, Wyatt had a blast crawling on the haystacks and picking them out! That night we went out to my parents and had a pumpkin carving contest. of course...

Let me start out by saying that Phil cheated. He did not use your regular old knive to carve the pumpkin this year, instead he used........his power tools! He may have cheated, but I guess it was pretty smart, cause he ended up winning the contest. He kept saying that this was the best pumpkin he has ever carved in his life! And it really was. He did a great job I must say. Doesn't it look like a Phil pumpkin too? hahaha! Love it!
This is my pumpkin! Isn't she a beauty?? Actually, this is probably the worst one I've ever done in my life and I kept saying that as well. Just so you know, he's sucking on a sucker. I thought it was a wonderful artistic touch don't you?
Here we are Halloween night all decked out in our camo looking exhausted after a long night of trick or treating! (We only went to two houses ;)) But it was a lot of fun none the less.
I just love this little guy!! I just can't say that enough! :) Look at that smile! He's going to be a ladies man that's for sure! He's already got the flirting down. Should I be worried??
Here's Crappa, showing him how to shoot the bow! Like Father, like son! oh no!!!!!! jk!!!
I just love this guy too! Can you tell? And yes everyone, that is a beard and a mustache he's sporting. Oh Dear..........

Can you say "Slacker"?

gosh I can't believe how terrible I have been lately at putting up new posts! I've been meaning to for forever, but just can't find the time to do it. But here's a little something....just a few things....Phil had his birthday September 17th, he turned 25 this year! He's now a 1/4 of a century old! haha! I was going to throw a big bash for him, but was still pretty worn out from Wyatt's party that I decided not to, I felt bad, but what can you do right? Anyway, for his birthday he wanted to go cut wood??? I don't know what kind of wierdo I married, but he wanted to cut wood, so whatever floats his boat right? Wyatt and I had fun watching him and Phil just had a blast, I think he feels like a manly man when he uses his chain saw or something, who knows? :) So that was that.....what else.....oh Janae threw Heath a surprise birthday party, what a good wife, unlike myself, which was a ton of fun! Heath is soo spoiled! jk!
Ummm....We had the Fall gathering this past weekend with Phil's family which was a blast! Sorry I didn't take any pictures, Phil took the camera hunting in case he killed something. He hunted from sun up to sun down, came back at night just exhausted. Poor guy. He didn't kill anything, but he's real good about getting over things and moving on with his life, that's one of the many things I love about him! Anyway, the festivities this weekend included: badmitton (I love that game), ping pong (again, another favorite), going on a hayride to look at leaves (Well, Wyatt was sleeping when they went, so we didn't go, but everyone else did and they said the leaves were beautiful), eating lots of food, playing cards, sitting by the campfire, roasting some mallows, it was a ton of fun! Thanks Aunt Bev and Uncle Dave for putting this on again and for all you do! :)
Let's see what else....oh I have a genius idea for a song! Well, you probably wouldn't call it genius, but I feel really good about it cause it just hit me really hard one night and the words just started coming to me. Anyway, it's going to be about our Heavenly Father forgiving us for our sins as many countless times as he does, but how forgiving ourselves and letting go of those sins is just as important! It's going to be called "Let Go" of course, and just to give you a sneak preview of some of the words I've come up with....

Let go of your sins, let go of your fears
For you are forgiven, wipe away your tears
Release your burdens, remember no more
But remember your Savior and what he died for
You have been forgiven my child you know, now Let Go!

Anyway, I'm always open to any criticism and new ideas so tell me what you think! :) if you like it, hate it, needs some major help, any of the above, I'm open to it all!

Elk Bugling in ????

Yes, finally a new update, sorry everybody. Phil and I a couple weekends ago went to ???? (sorry my husband doesn't want me to disclose any information about where we went for reasons unknown to me?) and met up with his Uncle Dave and Aunt Bev to go Scouting and do some bugling. The Elk were talking like crazy! Friday night we went to bed at 9, which was nice, but was so hard to fall asleep because usually we go to bed around 10 or 11. Anyway, we had just fallen asleep, it felt like, when we heard 2 elk bugling really close to our tent. So Phil gets out and starts calling them in. It was pitch dark, so of course I stayed in the tent for fear of what else might be out there! I'm a scardey cat. Anyway, he decided he was done and got back into the tent and it felt like 3 am. Phil looked at his phone and it was only 12am! I was soo mad, cause I wasn't sleeping good at all because of all the noise. Anyway, 5 o'clock rolls around and it's time to get up, and once again, sooo mad. I'm just not a morning person at all! Anyway, this video is from that morning. It was the coolest thing ever and was totally worth getting up at 5 for! For a short moment I could see why my husband likes hunting so much, but like I said, it was only for a short moment. jk! The rest of the day we quaded around the forest, checking the spots, hiking and enjoying Mother nature. It is sooo beautiful there ??? (once again i can't tell you, sorry :) And was so much fun as always, hanging out with Uncle Dave and Aunt Bev. Thanks again! Oh yeah and might I add that everyone found an antler but me!!! Once again, sooo mad! But it really was a fun trip and I loved spending time with Phil and seeing him get so excited about it. Enjoy...

Wyatt's First Birthday Party!

Yes, finally I have posted the pictures from Wyatt's birthday party. And yes, it was a blast! as you can probably tell. Alot of people came to join us in the fun which we really appreciated. He got a ton of cool stuff. We gave him a cupcake to get all messy with and for some odd wierd reason, unknown to us, he didn't like it at all! As you can tell in the pictures. We were expecting him to eat it and just love getting all messy cause Momma doesn't let him do that too often. haha! anyway, he finally got used to it and seemed to somewhat like it. And of course we had a pinata, I just couldn't resist! I love pinatas! I didn't get to have one for my birthday, so i got to take a wack at it with all the kids. haha! I will always be a kid at heart just like my Dad. Overall, I thought the party turned out really well. Thanks to everyone who helped!

Wyatt's first hair cut!!!

The before pictures... We should've spiked his hair up so you could see just how long it was. Oh well.

The after pictures! It's amazing how much older he looks now! A lot of women say they cry after they cut their first childs hair because then they look all grown up, but to be honest I was so happy and excited! It was a lot of fun. And the amazing part is that he didn't cry at all or even move that much while we were cutting it. He did so good!
What did they do to me??

Hatch Reunion

Time for the Hatch Reunion again! And as always, it was a lot of fun! We went to Hutch Mountain again this year, it's so beautiful up there. We played horshoes, waterballoon volleyball, spotlighting, and best of all the Talent Show. Unfortunately something is seriously wrong with our camera and after putting several pairs of new batteries in it, it drains them in a matter of minutes. So needless to say I wasn't able to get all the wonderful pictures from the show except for one (you're busted Heath!) but it was a blast!

Girls trip to California

We just got back from our almost week long girls/boys (Wyatt) trip to good ole California. Jacque had a work seminar there and was kind enough to invite us along. We stayed on Coronado Island which is so beautiful there. The weather is perfect, mid 70's all the time! I can see why people like it there because of the weather, but in my opinion that would be the only reason for me to want to go there, it's just too crowded for me. Anyway, we played on the beach, went shopping, walked and walked and walked forever! I felt so bad for Wyatt, not only did he spend most of the time in his carseat because of traveling, but he spent the other half in his stroller being pushed around for miles everywhere we went. He was a good boy though and handled it very well, thank goodness! We had a great time of course, who doesn't have fun in California, but we were ready to come home to our wonderful small town of Flagstaff.

Good Times in Colorado

Well, we went to Durango, Colorado again with Phil's family for the fourth of July and it was a blast, as it always is! We went fishing at Elbert creek which is my kind of fishing! You only have to wait two seconds and bam! a fish bites! It's awesome. We took family pictures, watched the fireworks down in Silverton which is one of the coolest towns I have ever been too. If you haven't been you should definitely go and they have the best fireworks too! We also went to Ouray which is also a really cool town, a tiny town surrounded by mountains, they call it little Switzerland. Anyway, we went swimming at the hot springs there which are really cool. Wyatt loves the water! It takes him a little bit to get used to it at first, but once he does, he just wants to jump out of your arms into the water, which I guess isn't a good thing, but kind of is at the same time. We also lit our own fireworks in the parking lot by the condos where we stayed and upset a few neighbors, but had a blast doing it! ;) We look forward every year going to this trip and can't wait till next year! Thank you everyone for the fun and great memories! :)

Willis Reunion

I know, I'm behind. A couple weekends ago was the Willis Reunion up by payson and it was a blast! We played games, hungout and played songs on the guitar by the campfire, went four-wheelin', played whiffle ball, we did it all! It was such a blast to see and hang out with all of you again, we can't wait till next time! :)

Hanging out with Grandma & Grandpa Great

Last month Wyatt got to see and hang out with his Grandma & Grandpa great down in the valley and loved it! As you can tell by the look on his face! We were so happy to be able to go down there so they could see him and get to know him more. And we will definitely be going down there again soon to play some more! :)

Grandpa Great & Wyatt just chillin' in the recliner.

Finally catching up on posts....

So for our two year anniversary back in May, oh my goodness, I can't believe I'm this far behind! Anyway, we decided to go camping at Willard Springs for the weekend. My Mom watched Wyatt for us so it was just the two of us. We had a lot of fun, but after daylight came and went, we didn't know what to do with ourselves. We actually got bored believe it or not! haha! so Phil, being the creative guy he is, decided to make a game out of nature....literally...

Here he is looking as proud of himself as ever! It was kind of like horseshoes, but with a stick and a loop made out of an oak tree branch. Pretty cool huh? And this is how it is done! I may look like I was a pro at it, but I was terrible! I'm going to be honest here! Phil killed me!

This was our humble abode for the weekend. cute huh?

We had a great time and enjoyed every minute being together just the two of us!

Know anything about Garage Band??

Ok, so my sister just recently bought a mac laptop and included on it is a program called "Garage Band." I'm sure some of you have heard of it, or maybe you haven't, who knows? Anyway, we're trying to figure out what kind of software and plug-ins we need so I can record my songs on it and put it onto a c.d. without having to go to a recording studio and spending $30 or more dollars an hour to do it, and to where it sounds professional enough to send to recording studios. Our questions are: Can you buy the software and download it offline and straight to your computer? If so, does it work on PC's? What kind of plug-ins or other software do we need to create somewhat professional recordings of my songs? I think that's all the questions we had, so if any of you have answers to anyone of these questions or any suggestions, we would greatly appreciate your help & advice!

Also, I'm sorry I've been such a slacker on posting the new happenings in our lives, I just haven't had anytime at all lately, but as soon as I do get some time, I'll post it! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their Summer. And for those of you who are in the valley, I hope you're not suffering too much down in H-E-double hockey sticks! pardon my French. jk! :)

2 years ago....

Add up you and me
Equals eternity
We're the perfect equation
Like pieces of a puzzle
We know it'll be a struggle
But our love can solve anything

The door was open
You walked right on through
And my heart jumped when it saw you
We have a connection
That money can't buy
And we're on the same line

And I, I love you
And I, I need you

Words can't express
All the feelings I've suppressed
Within my heart

Through these words I'm conveying
Listen to what I'm saying
You're the love of my life

I've never felt a love so strong
We knew it all along
Unbreakable

Happiness is what you bring
You mean so much to me
You're all I'll ever need

And when you have to go
Oh how I'll miss you so
Come back soon

I could write a million songs for you
But this one takes the cake
Come what may, sunshine or rain
Our love will never break

Today I make my vow
Right here and right now
To always stay by your side

You're my better part
You'll always have my heart
And the key

And I, I love you
And I, I need you

Two wonderful years have passed and we're still going strong! I love you more than you'll ever know Phil! Thanks for making me the happiest woman in the world! :)

One Day At A Time

I found this poem in some of my Grandma's stuff the other night and loved it, it has helped me so much! I hope it helps you...

"One day at a time, with its failures and fears.
With its hurts and mistakes, with its weakness and tears.
With its portion of pain and its burden of care;
One day at a time we must meet and must bear.

One day at a time to be patient and strong;
To be calm under trial and sweet under wrong;
Then its toiling shall pass and its sorrow shall cease;
It shall darken and die, and the night shall bring peace.

One day at a time-but the day is so long,
And the heart is not brave, and the soul is not strong,
O Thou pitiful Christ, be Thou near all the way;
Give courage and patience and strength for the day.

Swift cometh His answer, so clear and so sweet;
"Yea, I will be with thee, thy troubles to meet;
I will not forget thee, nor fail thee, nor grieve;
I will not forsake thee; I never will leave."

Not yesterday's load we are called on to bear,
Nor the morrow's uncertain and shadowy care;
Why should we look forward or back with dismay?
Our needs, as our mercies, are but for the day.

One day at a time, and the day is His day;
He hath numbered its hours, though they haste or delay.
His grace is sufficient; we walk not alone;
As the day, so the strength that he giveth His own.

We were chosen before we were born!

So last night I was reading the last chapter in the doctrine & covenants section 138 where President Joseph F. Smith recieved a vision about Christ's visit to the spirit world while he was still in the tomb and how he appointed his very elite to go down and preach to the people who had been unworthy to be in His presence. Anyway, verses 53-56 hit me really hard last night and gave me a great idea for a song! It talks about the choice spirits/the elite (all of us) being chosen before we were born to come down and that we were the noble & great ones to be rulers in the church of God and that we recieved our first lessons in the world of spirits and were prepared for our mission here on earth! Then it got me thinking & wondering about who was I before I came to earth? What was I like? How strong and willing was I to follow everything the Father said? So I thought what an amazing idea for a song! It's going to be about me trying to communicate and make a connection with my Spirit. To figure out who I was before I was born so that I can become one with my Spirit and by doing so, be able to fulfill my divine destiny here on earth! Anyway, I'm so excited to get started on this. I just hope that I will be able to find the words to convey this important message!

Bailee, Dakota, Kayden, & McKenzie

My cousin Bailee & her three little girls came up this past Saturday so we could see the new babies and visit with her. They are so stinkin' cute & tiny! Here's just a few pictures to show you how small they are, or how big Wyatt is, you pick! He's such a chunk! Bailee looks so good! She has lost the weight like no other, we're so proud of her. She's such a good mom. Dakota, every 5 minutes would say, "I love you Mom."

Ok, so Dakota is 3 & Wyatt is only 9 months! haha!

What a natural!

hahahaha! I love this picture!!! He looks like a giant compared to them!
"Help me Mom! Kayden's going to eat me alive!"

The Grand Falls

Well, this last Sunday the whole fam damly went to the Grand Falls. It's on the highway heading out towards Leupp. Anyway, It was beautiful, as usual. But not as full and flowing as it used to be when I was younger. I wonder why? jk We used to go all the time when I was a kid, but it had been a while, so it was good to go back and to take Wyatt and Phil who have both never been there.

CHEESE!!! It was sooo windy, it was hard to keep your eyes open. Wyatt's trying really hard as you can tell.
From left to right is Levi, Dillin, Mi Madre, Mi Papa, Auntie J, Phil, & Wyatt.

Mormon Prom

Well this past weekend, Wyatt and I went to Mormon prom to help my Mom dj. My husband, being absent due to hunting ;), couldn't go and be my date so Wyatt, as willing as he is, took his place! We had a lot of fun and got to dress up, which every once in a while, I love to do. Wyatt looked handsome and was the best date I could've asked for. Oh yeah, he was my Mom's as well, what a pimp! jk! Heath and Janae came, Janae looked beautiful in her dress and Heath, as handsome as ever. Anyway, it was a lot of fun.

My Mom the dj! Isn't she so cool?!?

Heath & Janae all dressed up and ready to bust a move!
Wyatt, acting like the King sitting on his throne. What a goof!

Momma & Wyatt dancing the last dance... It was a great night :)
